i know valentines day was a while ago now........but i wanted to share a few gifts that i made for mr. blossom........he says he loves my homemade gifts.......and i say i love my shop bought gifts very much...see we are a match made in heaven !! (although i must say i do love handmade gifts too )

Birthday girl

due to my lack of blogging this is rather a late post..........but eh oh..........better late than never i say !! in fact there have been 3 birthdays (including my 40th....yikes...seriously it wasn't scary at all !!) celebrated in this house over the last 2 months..............the first being miss lydias.......a very fun day was had and a very noisy sleepover also !!

WW2 Brooches and Love is......

I love these messages............for a while i have been toying with using these in some sort of craft work....and brooches seemed just right...........

and with valentines day around the corner i thought these would make a sweet gift..........obviously very influenced by the 1970's love is........couple !! does anybody remember them, i collected the stickers and the cards !!love is....................... holding hands...............i have many more emroidered and waiting to be stiched up !!

all of these will be put in my folksy and etsy today and tomorrow......

i did do a little crafting over the holidays !!!!!

whoops....not quite managed to post everyday......but then again i am so busy...saturday i was knee deep (not literally...but it makes it sound like i was very busy !!) in concrete having the fireplace put in, which looks fantastic, i cannot wait to share it on here...and i equally cannot wait to have our first real fire, which we have to wait a week to do so, which will be nice as that will coincide with the putting up off the christmas tree !!!!

oh.......... and sunday i was knee deep in paint...as i will be again today !!! but i shall leave you today with some of my new makes.......some are already on folksy...some have sold....and some shall be put on folksy sometime this week !!!!

i have had a folksy shop for a little while now and haven't really done alot with it......recently i have found that etsy is a little over-run with sellers, and sales are not great....so i have been loading up my folksy shop today.....sorted out a banner for it......and away i go.....i will be adding new items to it all week..... so if you fancy a peek go to.......

i am so exhausted i have been a whirling dervish today.................spring cleaning the house...............and gardening, the veggies are starting to really come on now..........

so due to my extreme need to rest........... it is mainly a picture post !!!!!

.....meet vera, i made her a few weeks ago now, using some of my much loved vintage fabric collection, i will get around to putting her on etsy sometime this week..............................

i love tea..............i love cake !!!!!

i really do love a good ole cuppa and who doesn't love cake ???? so i have made some hanging kitchen (or anywhere) art..................with binding that took forever to sew by hand onto the back and front..............and people hand sew binding onto a whole quilt ??!!

and i made this cushion last year..................mr flowery jack...............but he was made and taken to a few craft fairs, he was greatly loved by some folk, but some folk didn't want to pay £25. for him...............but it is a one off piece i told them, nobody else will have a cushion the same as yours !! i don't know about you my fellow crafters out there, but do you suffer with this same maddening crowd of people who seem to think they can give you what they think is the right price for your handmade goods...........this greatly puts me off craft fairs.....................................

yes dear readers that was an unexpected rant.............just had to get that off my chest, i think mr flowery jack will be heading over to etsy, where i think i will price him at £20-

caravan of love.....................

as a child we had a caravan, a little egg shaped one, just big enough for myself and my mum and dad and my little dog.................such happy memories..............when we weren't away in the caravan, it stood at the side of our house, and it doubled up as my playden......... i was the envy of the kids in my neighbourhood............so you see the humble 70's egg shaped caravan holds a special place in my heart !....................................which is what inspired my new crafty project........

w.i.p. and sunny days..........................

the weather this week has been so lovely that i couldn't resist taking my work outside, miss matilda has loved it, although the only down side to this, is that i have been disturbed quite often with the little minx up to no good.........trespassing over the vegetable plots ( i will share some pics on these soon.......they are really coming on) or pulling up newly planted raspberry canes, or terrorising the cat..............yes very naughty.........but it is quite impossible to get angry at her, it is those eyes !!!

i find embroidery work so relaxing ........................seriously i could do it all day but there is children and pets to care for, a house to clean etc.......................you get the picture..............
